Xplore recognizes that the Earth is an irreplaceable resource with finite natural resources and that it is the responsibility of all of us to provide future generations with an environment in which they can live healthy and safe.
The European Union has passed legislation that restricts the use of six hazardous substances in electrical and electronic products and advances a better program for the reuse, recycling, and recovery on manufactured goods.
Our products meet the requirements set forth in the European Directives 2002/95/EC and its Amendments, on the restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment (RoHS) and its Amendments, Xplore’s compliancy to RoHS directives includes Xplore branded products.
Additionally Xplore Technologies works with its third party product suppliers to ensure such products or alternatives offered for sale by Xplore in the European Union meet the above requirements. For new third party products Xplore requires its suppliers to certify that all parts and materials they deliver to Xplore are compliant with the RoHS Directive for reducing or eliminating the quantity of Lead, Cadmium, Mercury, Hexavalent Chromium, Polybrominated Biphenyls (PBB) and Polybrominated Diphenyl Ethers (PBDE). Also, as part of this commitment, we will strive to support the national legislations of other countries and regions in order to promote a better use of natural resources and a cleaner environment.
Xplore Technologies continues to evaluate and develop plans to address European Directives 2002/96/EC, and its Amendments on waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE).
Our ultimate goal is to make our contribution to this wave of technological innovation by producing products that are designed and manufactured to use materials that take into account the global environmental impact of our actions.
